Naftogaz transfers over 80% of sum to Gazprom for gas supplied in February

National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has transferred to Gazprom over 80% of the sum for gas imported to Ukraine in February this year, the company's press secretary, Valentyn Zemliansky, told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday.

"Gazprom's correspondent bank has confirmed the money arrived. We've got a SWIFT receipt," he said.

Zemliansky said that the rest would be transferred according to the agreed date, by March 7.

He said the sum of the money transferred had not been disclosed, because it is confidential according to the Ukrainian-Russian gas agreements.
