The political council of Our Ukraine-People's Self Defense bloc has initiated the holding of a coalition council with the participation of the Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn to discuss the dismissal of Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko, according to the member of the bloc's political council, Taras Stetskiv.

"Today we shall hold a coalition council with Yulia Tymoshenko and Volodymyr Lytvyn to get an explanation of the reason for the vote to dismiss the foreign minister," he said to the press on Tuesday.

The MP also said that the faction supports the idea of holding a general coalition meeting on this and other issues, "because we suspect that today's vote is just the beginning of a scenario that will lead to attempts by the BYT and Regions Party to change the constitution and divide power without having to hold direct presidential elections."

Apart from that, he said that Our Ukraine-People's Self Defense wishes to initiate a bill on canceling the decision to dismiss Ohryzko.

"This would allow us to save the coalition," Stetskiv said.
