Khandohiy appointed Ukraine's acting foreign minister
Ukrainian First Deputy Foreign Minister Volodymyr Khandohiy has been appointed acting foreign minister after the dismissal of Volodymyr Ohryzko.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, dismissed Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko on March 3. This decision was supported by 250 MPs out of the 429 registered for voting in the parliament's session hall.
According to Article 85 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada is empowered to dismiss the foreign minister. Following the foreign minister's dismissal, Khandohiy will fulfill the foreign minister's duties until a new minister is appointed.
