Tymoshenko to cut state officials pay by three times

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko has told parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn that she plans to put forward a resolution on a substantial decrease in salaries for state officials.

"I together with the majority of the parliament and its head [Speaker] Volodymyr Lytvyn, plan to make the salaries of state officials three times lower," Tymoshenko said on Monday during a cabinet meeting dedicated to salary debts at companies.
