Pynzenyk says irresponsible budget for 2009 behind his resignation as finance minister

Ukraine's former Finance Minister Viktor Pynzenyk has said that the principal cause behind his resignation was the irresponsible budget for 2009.

"Political decisions dominate in Ukraine over professional ones. And when the budget for 2009 has become such a political decision I faced a choice - to step down or to give up my professional views. I have chosen the first option," Pynzenyk said on ICTV channel on Sunday.
