Cooperation between Ukrainian prosecutors and the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) will ensure control over international aid provided to Ukraine, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin has said.
"The memorandum of understanding the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine signed with the European Public Prosecutor's Office a year ago is yielding its first results. Ukrainian prosecutors will work closely and exchange information with the EPPO," he said on Twitter on Monday.
Kostin discussed the details with European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi.
"We're establishing the international mechanism to ensure every cent of the international aid provided to Ukraine reaches its destination. The EPPO's exceptional expertise will be invaluable for that," he said.
