Heavy winds black out 160 towns and villages in Ukraine's 12 regions
Electricity supply was disrupted to some 160 towns and villages in twelve regions of Ukraine due to the stormy weather on the night of November 29, the Emergency Ministry's press service reported.
According to the press service, wind gusts of 15-20 meters per second triggered the power lines protection system.
A total of 54 towns and villages were blacked out in Kyiv region, 49 in Zhytomyr region, fourteen in Vinnytsia region, eleven in Ternopil region, nine in Cherkasy region, seven in Volyn region, five in Chernihiv region, four in Kirovohrad region, three in Rivne region, two in Ivano-Frankivsk region, one in Dnipropetrovsk region and one in Zaporizhia region.
