Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has finished questioning witnesses in the criminal case against Former Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Ivaschenko after the defendant complained about feeling ill.
"I'm asking to move the meeting for another day because I feel unwell. I cannot properly participate in the meeting," the defendant said.
The court decided to postpone the hearing of the case until 1100 on December 1.
As reported, on August 20, 2010, the Prosecutor General's Office opened a criminal case against Ivaschenko under Part 2, Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or office).
Late in November 2009, Ivaschenko signed a bailout plan concerning the sale of the property of the Defense Ministry's state-owned enterprise Feodosiya Ship and Mechanical Plant, including strategically important infrastructure facilities.
