Kyiv has passed its first exam on security and order during football matches at the Olympiysky National Sports Complex, Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Anatoliy Holubchenko has said.
"I think we got a B+ in the first test," he told a press conference on Wednesday.
Holubchenko noted that an official opening ceremony and a match between the Ukrainian and German teams took place at the Olympiysky.
He said that during the official opening ceremony they faced a problem with clashing flows of traffic of cars leaving the parking lot under the stadium and flow of people leaving the sports complex.
But this problem was settled before the Ukraine-Germany match and cars were directed to Chervonoarmiyska Street.
In addition, it is expected that in April a parking lot under the square near the Olympiysky Sports Complex will be put into operation. After that, three traffic streams are to be formed: guarded people and UEFA guests, whose cars would leave the parking lot under the stadium; VIP fans, whose cars would leave the parking under the square, and regular fans.
According to Holubchenko, the city office for security and order should settle this problem.
He added that during the match between Germany and Ukraine, a problem with the system for the electronic registration of tickets appeared. According to him, adjustment of the system will take some time and the problem will be resolved.
