Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will visit Moscow on December 19 to attend a meeting of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) Interstate Council, a source at the EurAsEC secretariat told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will take part in the 32nd session of the Interstate Council of Eurasian Economic Community, which will take place in Moscow on December 19," a source said on Wednesday.
Ukraine is not a member of EurAsEC, but has observer status in this organization.
As reported, the EU-Ukraine summit, where an association agreement with the EU may be initialed, is scheduled for December 19 in Kyiv.
In addition, the possibility of Yanukovych's participation in the informal summit of heads of CIS states on in Moscow December 20 is currently being considered.
