The defense team of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko does not know what medical procedures were conducted on the ex-premier and doesn't trust the results of the examination.
"As far as we know from the official reports of the Health Ministry, without notifying anyone - neither the defense team nor the relatives, in the early hours of the morning Yulia Volodymyrivna was taken to an unknown hospital... not the hospital that she wanted... where they carried out some medical procedures, of which we know nothing," Tymoshenko's chief defense counsel Serhiy Vlasenko said at a briefing outside Lukyanivka Detention Centre on Wednesday.
He stressed that the defense team cannot trust the results of this examination and the vague diagnosis it produced.
"We do not know what you did with her, we do not know the results," Vlasenko said.
According to him, in order to find the cause of the bruising on the ex-premier's body, they needed to take blood tests.
"It was necessary to do a blood test. To my knowledge, this hasn't been done today," he said
Vlasenko said that Tymoshenko returned to the jail after the test at 1000, and investigative actions were scheduled for 1400 today.
