The Polish Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the foreign ministers of Poland and Sweden will visit Donetsk on November 23.
"The Polish and Swedish foreign ministers, Radoslaw Sikorski and Carl Bildt, are planning to visit the Ukrainian city of Donetsk on November 23," reads a statement posted on the official Web site of the Polish Foreign Ministry.
According to the statement, the visit will be made at the invitation of the prominent Ukrainian businessman, Regions Party MP, and FC Shakhtar Donetsk President Rinat Akhmetov.
"The visit will be an opportunity to study preparations for the Euro 2012 football championship, which Ukraine will co-host with Poland next year, as well as the political situation in Ukraine and the country's prospects for European integration," the ministry said.
