Stoltenberg: perpetrators of war crimes in Ukraine must be held accountable

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg insists that those responsible for war crimes in Ukraine be brought to justice.

He said they had not seen such cruelty towards the civilian population in Europe for decades. And it is terrible, and it is absolutely unacceptable that civilians become targets and die, the secretary general said.

Stoltenberg noted that this only emphasizes the importance of the fact that this war must end. President Putin's responsibility is to stop the war. It is also extremely important that the International Criminal Court initiate an investigation into potential war crimes in Ukraine, and that all facts be presented at the negotiating table, and that those responsible be held accountable. Therefore, he strongly welcomes the investigation by the International Criminal Court.
