Biden informs Zelensky about US plans to provide Ukraine with $500 mln in budgetary aid
U.S. President Joe Biden, in a conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, announced Washington's plans to provide Ukraine with $500 million in direct financial assistance, according to a press release from the White House.
"President Biden informed President Zelensky that the United States intends to provide the Ukrainian government with $500 million in direct budgetary aid," the White House said in the document.
The two leaders also discussed how the United States is working around the clock to fulfill the main security assistance requests by Ukraine and continued efforts by the United States with allies and partners to identify additional capabilities to help the Ukrainian military defend its country. It was also about how the United States is trying to "fulfill the main security assistance."
In addition, President Zelensky updated President Biden on the status of Ukraine's negotiations with Russia, according to the press release.
