Pechersky District Court in Kyiv has again rejected a motion for the release of former Prime Minister and leader of the Batkivschyna party Yulia Tymoshenko on bail.
Earlier, Tymoshenko's defense team sent a number of petitions, in particular about releasing the ex-premier on bail of non-governmental, human rights and religious organizations.
This was the eighth motion for changing the measure of restraint on Tymoshenko, who was placed into custody on August 5. All of the previous pleas were turned down.
The court also announced a break in its meeting on Tymoshenko's case until 0930 on August 22, in connection with the defendant's need for medical examination.
