The Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense and the BYT-Batkivschyna factions have proposed that the parliament appoint Petro Poroshenko as head of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, the press service of the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense has reported.
"The candidacy of the head of the Accounting Chamber has to be nominated by the opposition. This is a worldwide practice, when the opposition defends national interests by monitoring the use of budget funds. Such a decision by the Ukrainian parliament would be praised in Europe at the final stage of drafting an association agreement with the European Union," the opposition said in a respective statement.
