Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn has said he does not rule out the possibility of extending the plenary meetings of parliament if MPs fail to consider all of the bills on this week's agenda.
"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine should end its plenary meetings on Friday [July 8] at 1300. If we consider all of the questions, then we will close the work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, I mean, the work of plenary meetings. Next week we will work in committees and factions. If not, then the question will obviously arise regarding the revision of the work in plenary mode," he said at a press conference on Monday.
Lytvyn said that "this will serve as a stimulus for the Verkhovna Rada" to work quickly.
