Court to consider Pukach's case on July 7, says injured party's lawyer
A court will consider a criminal case against the former head of the external surveillance department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, Oleksiy Pukach, on charges of murder of journalist Georgy Gognadze has been scheduled for on July 7.
"The court has decided to schedule the hearing of the case for July 7. The court dismissed all the requests by lawyers of the injured party (to remit the case for further investigation and to transfer Pukach to a pre-trial detention center)," said Andriy Fedur, a counsel of the late journalist's mother, Lesia Gongadze.
According to Fedur, only one motion of the injured party has been upheld - the one asking to include a civil suit demanding compensation in moral damage from Pukach to Myroslava Gongadze, the journalist's widow.
