Ukraine's debt payments up to $10.48 b in 2011, to reach $7.35 b in 2012, says Finance Ministry
Ukraine has to pay $10.479 billion in debt repayment and servicing in 2011 and $7.351 billion next year, according to estimations included in the prospect of the issue of the country’s eurobonds.
Compared to the prospect of the previous issue in late February 2011, the estimation of repayments in 2011 was increased by $419 million, or 4.2%, and that of payments next year by $644 million, or 9.6%.
According to the document, Ukraine will need to pay $7.864 billion in 2013 and another $6.68 billion in 2014. Compared to February’s prospect, the growth was $589 million, or 8.1%, and $838 million, or 14.3%, respectively.
Along with this, the Finance Ministry still bases calculations on the average annual hryvnia exchange rate of UAH 7.95 per $1 in 2011, UAH 7.8 per $1 in 2012, and UAH 8 per $1 in 2013-2014.
