Bad weather causes blackouts in 136 towns and villages in Ukraine

A total of 136 towns and villages in Ukraine were left without electricity as a result of bad weather (rain and strong winds) late on Sunday and early on Monday, the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry's press service has reported.

Bad weather caused blackouts in 67 towns and villages in Kyiv region, 22 in Khmelnytsky region, 14 in Ternopil region, 13 in Vinnytsia region, nine in Chernihiv region, seven in Zhytomyr region, and four in Chernivtsi region.

Power crews are restoring electricity supplies in the regions.
