The Ukrainian government will undergo significant reshuffles in the near future, and the Verkhovna Rada will endorse them at the beginning of its next session, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said in an interview published in the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (The Mirror of the Week) weekly.
"I want to significantly upgrade the government's efficiency and professional level. We will certainly remove these infiltrators from the Cabinet of ministers. There will definitely be considerable reshuffles in the government, and I believe we will pass them at the beginning of the next parliamentary session," Tymoshenko said without giving names.
"Consultations are under way today, and not all personnel issues have been solved yet. I would like the Cabinet of ministers to be much stronger and not to follow instructions from the Bankova Street [the presidential office] based on the 'the-worse-the-better' principle aimed at destroying the country," she said.
Tymoshenko denied that she regards all Cabinet members appointed within the presidential quota as "infiltrators." "Of course, there are people, who, despite the fact that they got to the government within the presidential quota, are working for their country professionally and honestly," she said.
