Oleksandr Shlapak, first deputy head of the Ukrainian president's secretariat, said there is no legal reason for Ukraine to sever the gas contract with Russia.
"The deal has been signed and it is working in accordance with international rules, so we will have to abide by it," Shlapak told a briefing on Friday.
