Helicopter crashes in Ivano-Frankivsk region, two dead

A light private helicopter has crashed in a field near the village of Horoholyn in Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukrainian Emergency Ministry's Spokesman Ihor Krol has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Two burned bodies were found at the site, he said. Local people found the crashed AS350 helicopter.

The helicopter was owned by CJSC Atoll Holding (Kyiv) and was flying from Uzhgorod to Ivano-Frankivsk.

As reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Transport and Communications, those killed were the 46-year-old pilot of the aircraft, a third class commercial pilot, and a 26-year-old, third class commercial pilot.

The state register number of the helicopter was UR-ATOL.

Rescuer workers and police are working at the site.
