We jointly overcome all hardships with faith, says Ukrainian president
Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that he believes that the Ukrainian nation would jointly overcome all hardships.
"First I believe in our own forces, that uniting we'll overcome everything… God gives us force," he said at Holy Dormition Pochayiv Lavra (Ternopil region) after the Divine Liturgy.
Yanukovych said that Ukraine celebrates the 20th Independence anniversary this year. He said that the passed years were not easy for each person and each family, irrespective of their confession.
"The past five years were the most difficult ones, as discord and disappointment never brings good to the country and society… Global crisis added bitter taste to the situation. I cannot pass it over in silence, as we are to overcome it together. God teaches us that only one can achieve improvements in life and build a strong state only doing good deeds," the president said.
"Only jointly with faith and love we'll be able to overcome challenges God sent us on our way," he said.
The Ukrainian president wished everyone to observe God's laws and do good deeds.
