Tymoshenko: Christmas gives people hope for victory of good over evil
Ukraine's ex-premier and leader of the Batkivschyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko has said that Christmas gives people hope for the victory of good over evil.
"I want all families to feel stronger and happier on Christmas, and know that I will fight with you until we win," Tymoshenko said in her Christmas greetings to Ukrainians posted on the party's Web site.
The politician said that this holiday symbolizes the birth of new hope, new faith, and new life. "It is the birth of truth, honor and good," her greeting reads.
"For more than two thousand years this holiday has given people hope for eternal life and the victory of good over evil. I want us after this holiday to become stronger in our fight for our country and every person that lives in it – for our rights, opportunities and justice," the Batkivschyna leader said.
