Ukraine's presidential envoy for international energy security issues Bohdan Sokolovoskyhas has said that Naftogaz Ukrainy's leadership received at the last moment new directions on the talks with Gazprom different from those given by President Viktor Yuschenko.
"In line with the law, the president issued directions for the government of Ukraine… set the specific bounds of a possible and allowable compromise, the government formed a delegation and this delegation led by Naftogaz Ukrainy head [Oleh Dubyna] was giving all of its energy, all of its expertise in a fair and persistent search for success… However, according to the information I possess, the delegation received other directions, which the president hadn't given," Sokolovsky said on the 5th channel live on Tuesday night.
