The Ukrainian government will calculate the exact price of gas for Ukraine according to a Russian-proposed formula within two days, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced Monday.
She believes the price will be below $250 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas.
The price will be calculated according to the formula used for all European consumers, Tymoshenko told reporters in Moscow following the signing of Ukrainian-Russian gas agreements.
"Since it will be the first time Ukraine will use this formula, we will announce the price within two or three days," the premier said.
"I can say that it will be far less than the one assumed by mass media," she added.
Asked whether the price would be within $230-250 per 1,000 cubic meters, Tymoshenko said: "It's close to what you said."
