Yanukovych: Ukraine back on track in construction of infrastructure for Euro 2012

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said that infrastructure is being built according to schedule in Ukraine as part of the country's preparations for Euro 2012.

"We've practically got back on track not only in the construction of roads, but also in the construction of stadiums, airports, hotels and other infrastructure that should ensure that Euro 2012 is held successfully," he told journalists in Donetsk region on Wednesday, while opening the third stage of the Znamyanka-Luhansk-Izvaryne bypass road, the Web site of the Ostrov online publication reported.

Yanukovych stressed the need to "build 100% of roads" in order to ensure the successful holding of Euro 2012.

"In all, we will build a little over 800 km of roads," he said.
