The Regions Party has received about 49% of the vote, the Strong Ukraine – 7.3%, the Communist Party of Ukraine – 6.8%, the Batkivschyna – 3.37%, and the Front for Change – 4.1% at the local elections in Donetsk region, according to an exit poll conducted by order of the local organization of the Strong Ukraine Party.
The press service of the Strong Ukraine reported on Monday that the Union of Builders of a Strong Donbas NGO carried out the exit poll in 27 towns of the region and 10 district centers. Some 17,000 people who had voted until 1900 were interviewed at 92 polling stations.
According to the results of the exit poll, in Donetsk the Regions Party scored 51% of the vote, the Strong Ukraine – 7.6%, the CPU – 5.4%, the Batkivschyna – 3.2%, the Front for Change – 3.8%. In addition, according to the findings of the exit poll, the Strong Ukraine party overcame the 3% barrier and gained seats in the city councils of Mariupol, Makiyivka, Slaviansk, Snizhne, Kramatorsk, Dzerzhynsk and a range of other towns.
