The local elections are taking place in an organized way and smoothly, the press service of the government announced on Sunday.
According to the message, voting on October 31 started on time in all regions of the state.
"All 12,088 territorial election commissions are functioning normally," the government said.
The territorial commission reported that some problems with the operation of polling stations occurred because not all district commissions managed in time to stamp the word "withdrew" on ballots beside the names of those political forces that had officially terminated their participation in the election process.
In such cases district commissions started working later or suspended voting for a while to eliminate inaccuracies.
A total of 490 observers from international organizations and foreign states and 1,913 from Ukrainian public organizations are monitoring the elections.
International observers have so far made no phone calls to the election hotline of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
