Vice Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine Zhanna Usenko-Chorna has not ruled out that the elections to Kyiv Regional Council may be declared invalid if the regional territorial election commission doesn't cancel the registration of candidates from the fake Batkivschyna party.
"In my opinion, the situation is really conflict, and there are all the prepositions for challenging the results of these elections (to the regional council)," Usenko-Chorna told reporters on Saturday.
She said that the refusal of the Department of Justice to take note of reports by Batkivschyna's party the change in the leadership of Kyiv regional branch of the party.
"We will keep track of the decisions of Kyiv regional territorial election commission," Usenko-Chorna said.
According to her, the regional territorial election commission will decide on Saturday to cancel the registration of Batkivschyna party lists, which was signed by Volodymyr Maibozhenko.
