Poroshenko sure sanctions policy against Russia to intensify
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko welcomes the expansion of U.S. sanctions against Russia because of the aggression against Ukraine and expresses confidence that the sanctions policy against Moscow will intensify.
"I welcome the decision of the U.S. Treasury to further expand the list of sanctions against Russia for its brutal aggression against Ukraine. My meetings with the American leaders in Davos give me confidence that the sanctions policy against Russia will only increase until Ukraine completely regains its territorial integrity," Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook on Saturday.
Earlier on January 26, the U.S. expanded the sanctions list against Russia because of the situation in Ukraine. The list includes 21 individuals. The U.S. Treasury published two lists of companies, in which there are 21 organizations.
Among the individuals who fall under the restrictions of the U.S. Treasury are Deputy Energy Minister Andrey Tcherezov, Director of the Department of Operational Control and Management in the Electric Power Industry Evgeny Grabchak.
Director General of Limited Liability Company Foreign Economic Association Technopromexport Sergey Topor-Gilka was also included in the list.
Among blacklisted business entities were those cooperating with Surgutneftegas, e.g. Power Machines Company, Rostec Technology company, and Technopromexport Engineering company.
