Ukrainian health ministry to set new reference prices from July
Ukraine's Health Ministry will set new reference prices of medicines for the reimbursement program in July, Deputy Health Minister Roman Ilyk said at a briefing on Friday.
"From July 1 we are introducing new reference prices. These are prices that will be set at upper prices. We expect that new manufacturers would join the program," he said.
Ilyk said that the document will be posted on the ministry's website on July 1 and then the ministry will start collecting applications from pharmaceutical manufacturers, including from those that are participating in the project.
Ilyk said that synchronously with the Affordable Medicines program resolution No. 303 is in effect. It allows providing the public with required medicines.
He said that by the end of the year new international nonproprietary names (INN) will be added to the reimbursement program.
He said that almost each third pharmacy joined the program: a total of 5,986 pharmacies.
