For grounds for banning operations of mobile operators with Russian capital
At present the parliamentary committee for national security and defense does not have information on abuse of power by mobile operators with Russian capital, which would allow shutting them down, Secretary of the committee MP Ivan Vinnyk has said.
"The committee does not have this information. Now the committee is cooperating with the SBU, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, monitoring the situation," he told reporters on Thursday during his visit to the state border in Kharkiv region.
"We should not ban them. We should supervise them not to allow them violating law and monitor if they pay taxes. These are large taxes. Jointly they pay several billions of hryvnias to the Ukrainian budget. We use these funds to build Ukrainian tanks and fuel them with diesel fuel," he said.
He promised to respond adequately if the committee receives the information that mobile communications operators illegally collect personal information about Ukrainian citizens and their movements.
