Hryhoriy Pedchenko appointed chief of General Staff

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has appointed Lieutenant-General Hryhoriy Pedchenko as chief of the General Staff and commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

This is stipulated in a respective decree, No. 656/2010 of May 31, posted on the presidential Web site on Monday.
