Official arrested for embezzlement of funds allocated for high-speed tramline in Kyiv
The head of the supervisory board of OJSC Experimental Plant of Reinforced Concrete Sleepers, Oleksandr Padalko, has been arrested on charges of embezzling over UAH 31 million in funds from Kyiv's city budget allocated for the construction of a high-speed tramline in the capital.
A well-informed source at the Ukrainian Interior Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine that the official had been arrested on Monday under a criminal case opened against him due to the embezzlement of budgetary funds intended for the construction of a high-speed tramline from Starovokzalna Street to the Kyiv ring road.
