No Ukrainians among victims of terrorist attack in Bagdad

There are no Ukrainians among the dead and injured in the terrorist attacks that occurred in Baghdad on Sunday, the consular service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has reported.

"The Embassy of Ukraine [in Iraq] informs about the absence of Ukrainians among those killed and injured in the terrorist attack in Baghdad on January 8, 2017," the agency reported on Twitter.

It was reported that at least seven people were killed and over ten injured as a result of the second terrorist attack per day in Baghdad, the Western media reported on Sunday.

According to them, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a market in the Shiite district of the Baladiyat area.

Earlier on Sunday, it was reported that 12 people were killed and 50 injured in an explosion in eastern Baghdad at a vegetable market in the area, predominantly populated by Shiites. Then the extremist group "Islamic State" took the responsibility for the terrorist attack.
