Ukraine's Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko has signed an agreement on Ukraine's accession to the European Agreement on the Transmission of Applications for Legal Aid.
The document allows Ukrainians, who permanently reside in one of the 32 countries that have ratified this agreement, as well as citizens of those countries who live in Ukraine, to receive a guaranteed legal assistance, the minister wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
Our country's accession to this agreement was made possible by the adoption of Ukraine's law on free legal aid and the development of major social projects of the government – the free legal aid system, the minister wrote.
