There will be no special meeting of parliament on Wednesday, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn's press secretary Olha Chorna told Interfax-Ukraine.
On Wednesday, members of the BYT faction submitted the required number of signatures for holding an extraordinary meeting of parliament, she said.
However, the parliament's regulations do not require a meeting to be held on the same day when the parliament's leadership receives such an initiative, Chorna said.
According to the regulations, the leadership of parliament has three days to hold an extraordinary meeting, if it is proposed by at least 150 deputies.
Earlier on Wednesday, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said that the parliament is likely to consider a vote of confidence in the cabinet later that day.
