Surplus of Ukraine's consolidated budget totals UAH 28.3 bln in Jan-Aug - NBU

Budget expenses in 2015 have grown slower than revenue, which is forming a surplus for national and local budgets, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Valeriya Gontareva said at a press release in Kyiv on Thursday.

"The surplus of the consolidated budget and ending stocks in the single treasury account reached a record: the surplus in January-August was UAH 28.3 billion, and stock in the treasury account reached UAH 35 billion," she said.

Gontareva said that the thoughtful fiscal policy has helped to improve inflation expectations and macroeconomic stability.
