Poroshenko gives state medals to 92 deceased, 46 wounded Ukrainian soldiers
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has given state medals to 138 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including 92 deceased and 64 wounded soldiers.
The decree of September 22 to award the medals was posted on the president's website on Wednesday.
The soldiers either died or were wounded in battle against separatist militants, particularly in Ilovaisk, Debaltseve, Artemivsk, and in Mariupol direction from August 2014 to July 2015.
The soldiers received the Bohdan Khmelnytsky medal of the third degree and the Medal of Honor of the third degree, as well as with the Protector of the Motherland medal.
