All was quiet in the army operation zone on Thursday for the first time in months, and the militants did not breach the truce and did not open fire, the army operation press center said on Friday morning.
"There have been no unpleasant surprises today either. The truce was unmarred along the entire contact line in the period from midnight till 6 a.m. on September 11," the press center wrote on Facebook.
The complete ceasefire enables the Ukrainians to restore damaged infrastructures, to normalize transport and logistics services and to step up demining operations.
According to Kyiv, the civilian population of Donbas and the Ukrainian servicemen hope that the sides will continue to honor the Minsk agreements and "the resolution of disputable issues and disagreements will shift to the stage of negotiations," the press center said.
