The militants resumed shelling of Ukrainian army positions in Donbas after 6 p.m. on Monday, the army operation press center wrote on Facebook on Tuesday morning.
According to the press center, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the militia supported by small arms and grenade launcher fire tried to pass by a Ukrainian army stronghold near Syze at about 6 p.m. The saboteurs retreated after a fire exchange.
At 6:25 p.m. the militants fired small arms on Ukrainian units in Mayorske. The militia's 82mm mortar shelled Ukrainian army positions in Maryinka at about 11 p.m.
The sabotage and reconnaissance group of the militants repeated its raid near the Ukrainian army stronghold in Syze at 1:40 a.m. on Tuesday.
