European pharmaceutical companies entering the Ukrainian market in the coming years will create strong competition for domestic medicines producers, according to PR Director of PJSC Farmak Vladyslav Strashny who was speaking during a meeting of Ukrainian business representatives with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev.
"We're facing a challenge – either to enter the European market or we'll suffer from competition with European companies, which will come next year. They are quite powerful. For example, Bulgarian companies have been working in the European Union for 15 years, they are experienced. In order to survive, we need to work according to their rules," he said.
"We want to study and learn from their experience, this is an upgrade for us, the improvement of professional skills. When you enter other markets, it is necessary to adapt production and staff to this level of education and skills," Strashny added.
