The State Administration of Ukraine on Medicinal Products in Kyiv has suspended work, as well as receiving citizens and business entities.
The relevant announcement has been posted on the agency's website.
The agency headquarters did not specify the reason for suspending its operations, however said that "there are problems with financing."
The Health Ministry failed to comment on the reason for the suspension of the administration's work.
The agency is currently awaiting comments from the Health Ministry and the State Administration of Ukraine on Medicinal Products.
At the same time, a source in the pharmaceutical market reported that the funding of the agency's regional units was stopped from May 1, which affected the work of the authority.
The source noted that the cessation of work of the agency's units does not allow to obtain necessary certificates, in particular, to put into circulation certain medicines expected in hospitals.
