The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting intends to invite the management of Inter TV channel to its next meeting, at which the TV channel's New Year's Eve line-up will be discussed.
"We invite Hanna Bezliudna [from the Inter TV channel] to the first meeting of the National Council this year to discuss the New Year's line-up," member of the National Council Olha Herasymiuk wrote on her Facebook page.
The regulator has also invited the Ukrainian Security Service, National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), the parliamentary freedom of speech committee and a group of MPs to the session.
Herasymiuk said that the NSDC has the right to apply the law on sanctions over the Inter TV channel incident.
In his statement, NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said that Inter should be stripped of its broadcasting license for "mocking the entire nation".
