Poroshenko expresses gratitude to co-authors of U.S. Senate-approved Ukraine Freedom Support Act

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has expressed gratitude to the co-authors of the Ukraine Freedom Support Act of 2014, which was approved by the U.S. Senate on December 11, President's Press Secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko told Interfax-Ukraine.

"President of Ukraine made a call to two US senators, co-authors of the Ukraine Freedom Support Act, Robert Menendez and Bob Corker, for the adoption of this important document," Tseholko said.

According to him, the Ukraine Freedom Support Act, which essentially extends military-technical cooperation and possibilities of financial aid to Ukraine, was registered during the visit of Poroshenko to the United States in September 2014.
