Municipal insurance company in Kyiv to start functioning from 2015, says official
The municipal insurance company in Kyiv will start functioning from 2015, reads a press release of the Kyiv City Administration, referring to the deputy administration head, Mykhailo Radutsky.
"Next year voluntary medical insurance will be launched in the capital," he said.
He said that medical insurance will be an effective mechanism for additional financing of medicine in Kyiv.
"Today, no insurance company insures a person 70 years of age or older. Kyiv cannot deprive elder people of medical aid. We'll additionally finance medicine from the insurance fund, as there is a lack of budget funds," Radutsky said.
He expressed confidence that both patients and doctors will be able to see the effectiveness of introducing voluntary medicinal insurance in six months.
