Poroshenko sure Donbas peace plan will be implemented

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that he firmly believes in the implementation of the peace plan on the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine.

"If you ask whether I believe in the reality of the peace plan, my firm answer will be yes," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

"I believe that some 'hawks' in the Kremlin administration considered Ukraine to be a colossus with feet of clay, which could be easily pushed and the so-called 'south-east' will begin to collapse. This has led to the opposite results, and the current fact of the peace process shows (at least I sincerely would like to hope) that attitudes in Russia are changing and their plans are beginning to transform," Poroshenko said.
