EU membership common goal for all Ukrainians - Poroshenko

Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has said that gaining membership of the European Union is a common goal for all Ukrainians.

"We have very little time … Ukraine will run down this path and not fly past Europe. We will definitely and surely achieve the prospect of membership in 2020. This is our common goal," he said while presenting the Strategy 2020 in Kyiv on Thursday.

"You know, there is this rhetoric: 'I promise this to you.' No, we are going to do it with you. And that is the cardinal difference from any other plan," the president said.
